The FTSE4Good UK Fund – making socially responsible investment open to all investors.

The FTSE4Good UK Fund allows the investor a transparent and simple route to socially responsible investing as well as contributing to the promotion of socially responsible business practice.

The Fund is the Official Fund for the FTSE4Good UK Index. It is the first and only fund to follow the newly created UK benchmark for Socially Responsible Investment.

This Fund brings socially responsible investment into the mainstream of the investment universe. It will appeal to investors because its investment policy includes many of the largest companies listed on the London Stock Exchange.

The Fund provides a broad and diversified exposure to the UK stockmarket via companies which through their acceptance of the principles of social responsibility are likely to develop a commercial advantage, providing a compelling investment rationale.

UNICEF and the FTSE4Good Initiative

Established more than 50 years ago, The United Nations Children’s Fund ( "UNICEF") has reached hundreds of millions of children and their families - children threatened by conflict and poverty’s worst symptoms and causes.

Today UNICEF is working in more than 160 countries to protect the rights of children and ensure their survival, development and right to a safe and happy childhood. UNICEF funds are put to work in health care, nutrition, education, emergency relief, clean water and sanitation.

UNICEF welcomes the development of the FTSE4Good Indices, which aims to provide a widely accepted solution to the complex issues of socially responsible investment.

The FTSE4Good UK Index is unique in that it will make a valued contribution to UNICEF’s work with children all over the world.

How will UNICEF benefit from the FTSE4Good UK Fund?

UNICEF will receive a significant proportion of the annual management charge from the Fund, representing up to 40% of the Manager’s net annual management revenue, allowing the investors to contribute to charity whilst investing in the future.
